Is Mental Health Illness Or Well Being?

What is your opinion conjure up when you see the word spiritual "health" Yes, the wording of scent with all sorts of connotations, is not it!

If you think the phrase Mental Health ..... is about
People who are strangers, or not normal.
Mental illness is to avoid a stigma or label to show or keep quiet
In relation to issues of loss of earning capacity of the mind and behavior
A term that a label in the madness, insanity, weird people describe
Pathologies such asDepression, schizophrenia.
Or the mental health in the Health Division of the State Department?

The World Health Organization defines mental health as "a state of well-being in which the individual's own ability to complete the normal stresses of life to be able to work productively and fruitfully, and is able to contribute to his or her community. "

Is not the first thing in the minds of many people come with this expressionReally?

Part of the problem is the actual term 'mental health' - it conjures up images of illness, nor the word health is the opposite of disease - if we have health, we have wellness, not illness.

Formally, it is a term used to describe either a level of cognitive or emotional wellbeing or the lack of a mental disorder. From the perspective of the discipline of positive psychology or holism mental health and the ability to enjoy a person's lifeprocure and maintain a balance between life activities and efforts to psychological stress.

The problem lies in the concept itself - it is impossible to describe exactly what it means
Perhaps mental health or wellness is the time to promote or do something positive about your own inner health.

Mental health can be defined as an absence of a great mental state (eg, one of the diagnoses in the Diagnostic and StatisticalManual, IV), although more recent evidence that suggests itself from the positive psychology, mental health is more than the mere absence of a mental disorder or illness. Therefore, the impact of social, can be cultural, physical and mental health education, all relate to someone.

We live in a society where the great care of physical health or welfare / Wellness Notes - view of the enormous technological advances in pharmaceutical research and occurring every day.

Consider allResources for physical health, we are constantly before us - weight loss programs and diets, fitness and training programs, fitness, sports, obesity concerns, dietary supplements and so on.

But where is the equivalent training and push for mental well-being? We provide easy, for it avoids any possibility of infection, injury and environmental conditions (eg heart) - but what we do to avoid negative effects on our mental well-being?

How do you think of your own mentalHealth care? "And so?

This is crucial when you consider that depression and anxiety so many touches, let alone diagnosed with more severe mental illness.

In families, we put so much consciously focusing on the psychological well-being, as we have to do on physical health. Many know a lot about being a good physical activity, but we are, how about good mental health information and equivalents as we teach our children to increase to.

And, what state is not under -mental health department?

We have the concept of a holistic approach, lost to our bodies, lives and our society. We too easily compartmentalize - and put the mental health in the too hard basket, or simply neglected.

We have 'abnormalized mental health, but see it as important to our well being and a normal part of life - even if someone is suffering from a mental illness.

Persons who are in mental well-being conditions are still "normal" people suffer- Just as an injured person "is normal", or simply just as a deaf person is normal.
